Victor Seymour Infants' School

Welcome to Victor Seymour

We are a 3 form entry infant school with 90 Reception, 90 Year 1, 90 Year 2 children and a Nursery catering for 15 and 30 hour children.

At Victor Seymour Infants’ every child will develop the early skills, knowledge and understanding to enable them to lead confident, healthy and independent lives.

We are very proud of our ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted grade and believe that our values and ethos are evident as soon as you walk in our door.

We are an academy which is part of the Greenshaw Learning Trust of schools who work together to provide the best for all our children.

We are situated in Denmark Road Carshalton, 2 minutes from Carshalton Railway Station, within the London Borough of Sutton.

We pride ourselves on our determination to be the very best school we can be, in every way. This determination is based on our desire for excellent learning and supporting our children to become learners for life.

‘Older pupils make impressive use of what they remember when they discuss their ideas with their classmates.’

Ofsted Inspection, November 2019

Everyone understands what pupils should achieve and shares high expectations for all pupils.’

Every child is known, recognised and respected and our expectations of everyone are high. We encourage and support every child to reach their potential and do this by developing confident, independent and resilient learners who can make their own choices, are not afraid of making mistakes and who know their next steps in learning.

We pride ourselves on the behaviour for learning of our children and that they enjoy coming to school.

We work hard at ensuring our communication with parents/carers and the whole community enables us to be an approachable school that cares about our whole school community.

For working parents/carers we are pleased to be able to offer wrap-around care, both before and after school.

We welcome visits to the school and hold weekly tours for prospective parents/carers in the Autumn term. If you are interested in visiting our school, please contact either Mrs F Boucher or Mrs C. Gardiner in the school office: 020 8647 9800

We look forward to meeting new members to our community and enjoy the relationship we have with our current families.
