Applications for Reception

Parents must submit their Common Application Form stating their preferred schools to the London Borough of Sutton.  Applications open on the 1st September and close of 15th January.

For information on how to apply and to access the on-line application please click here:

If you are resident outside the London Borough of Sutton, you should apply through your own Local Authority.

We run tours for small groups of parents/carers during the Autumn term.  If you would like to book on to a tour, please contact the school office.

In-Year Applications

Victor Seymour Infants’ School is part of the London Borough of Sutton’s Co-ordinated Admissions Scheme for In-Year Admissions.  Applications for admission to Reception after 1st September and for admission into Years 1 to 2 must be made to the Local Authority in which the school is situated using their In-Year Application Form.  If you wish to apply for a place at Victor Seymour Infants’ School, you must name the school as one of your preferences on the application form and return it to the London Borough of Sutton School Admissions.

Where there are more applicants than places available, the school will maintain a waiting list according to the oversubscription criteria detailed in the school’s admission arrangements without regard to the date the application was received or when a child’s name was added to the waiting list.

Positions on the waiting lists may go down as well as up.  This is because other children might be added to the waiting list who have a greater priority for a place against the school’s admission criteria; for example, when new families move into the area or when other families who had not previously named Victor Seymour Infants’ School as a preference, ask to go on the waiting list after the initial allocations date.
